One of the activities we did was to go ziplining. It was super fun to go through the zipline course, be spun around and hang out together.
We took a drive to the other side of the Big Island to go see Akaka Falls and do a little hike.
Another day, we went kayaking to the Captain Cook monument. This happened to be where Devan lost his snorkel, which was a bummer.
What a stud.
We also took part of a day to go do a session in the Kona temple. It is such a beautiful temple and so nice to take some time to go there.
We did a night snorkel with the manta rays! I have actually dived this before, so it was cool to see the perspective from the top! I can't believe how big these creatures are, and all they eat are the tiny plankton. It's crazy. This was a really fun night.
We also drove up to the Mauna Kea observatory. The sky was beautiful and clear-a little chilly at that altitude, so I did break down and get some hot chocolate! The telescopes they have there are amazing, and one of them you could see the rings around Saturn! Who knew you could see something like that?!
We, of course, spend a lot of time on the beach, relaxing and swimming.
And we went to some beautiful botanical gardens.
Lots of yummy food, including shaved ice was eaten. Gosh, blogging about this makes me want to go back!! It was a great time, and I didn't want to come home, but I guess part of being a responsible adult is going back to work. :) So grateful for this fun and awesome trip!
This is adorable, cute, amazing, hilarious, wonderful, and I love it. Um, will you please post again soon, if you know what I mean. K, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't seen these pictures! Love them. Honeymoons are the best. The best picture is with you two and the waterfall. If you go back, take meee!
