Bridal Shower

So, some awesomely great ladies from my home ward threw me a bridal shower before Devan and I got married. It was so much fun to see so many people I loved and looked up to growing up come and support me and celebrate my upcoming wedding. I truly felt so incredibly blessed.

These are the lovely ladies that threw my bridal shower for me. Wendy, on the left, has been a second mom to me all growing up. She was a young women leader to me for many years, and we grew so close, and have stayed super close. We text each other and talk to each other still, and she is always up for a good hug! I am so thankful for her in my life. Diane, next to Wendy, is so amazing. She always has a smile on her face and is so positive and outgoing and knows how to make people feel comfortable. She also was one of my young women leaders. She has influenced my life so much and I love her to pieces. To the right is Caitlin. We grew up together-from preschool through high school and beyond we have known each other. She is so awesome.

Look at this delicious food!! It was so super yummy!!
The beautiful Diane!

So, my mom is on her mission in Ukraine. Luckily, she was able to Skype in for the bridal shower. She talked to so many people-I hope it was as fun for her as it was for me to have her there. How awesome is technology so that I could share this time with her?! It would not have been the same without her there. And she's beautiful even on the computer :)

So, we played a game to see how well I knew Devan. It was nice and simple and not embarrassing-I'm in general not a fan of the silly and ridiculous bridal shower games, so Diane and Wendy picked out the perfect game. For each question there were 3 choices of responses. Everyone took a guess and then I guessed. In this picture, it was asking what his favorite movie was-I guessed correctly that it was Kung Fu Panda :)

So many lovely friends! Stephanie, Kim and Michelle.

Abbie and Sylvia

My good friend Becky, and my future Mother in Law, Shauna!

There were lots of presents :)

It's a serving dish! And I look kinda chubby in this picture. Meh, oh well :)
My beautiful SIL RaeAnn and her daughter Macey!

Shauna and I

My best friend growing up, Kim. We've been through many years together, and we can always just get together and talk like no time has passed. I love that about our friendship. I'm sad we don't get to see each other often, but so happy that we can always be there for each other.

My sister Lizzie, and my matron of honor!

Me with my awesome sisters! Missing was Amy, but unfortunately she was running her second race to understand autism. So, although we missed her, I'm glad that she was doing something super amazing and worthwhile for her community.

I had another bridal shower thrown by my coworkers later that day, which was super fun, and Amy was able to come to that one, so I'm glad she could celebrate with me.
Sheila and Aimee.

And then, later that night we went to my neighbor and friend's wedding reception. They had a beautiful reception on the lake, and it was gorgeous weather. So we took that opportunity to snap a picture. Gosh, he's so handsome! I love this guy!

The Enchantments

So, I went on this pretty awesome backpacking trip with my friend Jessie. She's my outdoor adventure buddy. We went to the enchantments-which is...basically...Narnia. One of the most intense hikes I've ever done, but so amazing and worth it. I hope to go up again someday. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

First waterfall on the way up.

Mountain goa-a-a-a-ts.

The group. And found out later that Bud, one of the guys that's Jessie's friend, works with Stella my sister in law.

Good form, right?

Also, coldest dip ever. But also the only "shower" on the trip.

Classic jumping picture.

We're silly. But it was a great, awesome, tiring trip!!
