Trip to Utah

We went on a quick weekend trip to Utah last month, and Nicole got to fly on a plane again! She had fun running around the airport and entertaining all the travelers in the airport.

She also may have found her future occupation...

We spend a little bit of time on Temple Square before heading down to Steve's house. We had a lot of fun hanging out, chatting, hiked up to Bridle Veil Falls and got Nicole some sweet monster shoes courtesy of Uncle Steve :)

We also got to visit a lot of Devan's family, and Nicole got to meet her great grandmother!

Devan went home a day before Nicole and I, and as we were heading up to the airport from Orem, we stopped at Cabela's and looked at some of the animals and the fish aquarium. Nicole loved watching all the fish swim around. There was a lot of fish in a small amount of space!

I stayed an extra day to visit some old college friends. It's crazy how our lives have changed! It was fun to see everyone's kids and to catch up on each others lives! I love these girls.

I didn't get a photo of me with my Motel 10 friends, but here are all our kids playing in Jennie's living room!

I was also able to visit my friend, Sarah Kime. She passed away just a few weeks before my trip to Utah, very suddenly. I miss her terribly, but it was nice to be able to go see her before we headed home. I always love going to Utah and seeing friends and family. It makes me miss my college days, but life seems to move forward, and I couldn't be happier with my forever family, and to be with Devan and sweet Nicole.

A new cousin and Halloween Party!

Nicole has a new cousin! Little miss Brynley Mae joined Paul and RaeAnn's family in October. She is such a cutie, and such a sweet little baby! We can't wait to play more with her, although I have a feeling that I'll be spending most of the time making sure that Nicole won't poke or walk over her! Welcome, Brynley!

On a completely unrelated note, Nicole dressed up as a monkey this Halloween, and she was pretty darn cute. Like, seriously. Just watch. I still can't get enough of this video!

Neighbors! Jacob, Nicole and Madelyn. A lion, monkey and a pig!

Nicole turns 1!

How is my baby 1 year already? It's really hard for me to believe that, but she seems to get more and more fun to play with every day. Her smile is crazy awesome, her laugh kills me everytime, and she is running around and discovering new things every day. I think that's what I like most about being a mom, is watching her discover the world around her. Her reactions are priceless. My life has changed drastically since having her, but I certainly wouldn't have it any other way. I have grown in new ways that I never would have thought possible. I. Love. It.

OK, so festivities started the day before, when we went to Devan's work for a visit. She got to see all of daddy's coworkers, and also got to see some people who share her birthday at work. There were 3 babies born on the same day last year, which also happens to be Devan's old boss's birthday. So, of course we had to get pictures with him (one of the babies is missing and couldn't make it in on this day.)

After we left the office, we met up with Madelyn and Felisha to go to the pumpkin patch. They had fun riding in the wheelbarrow and walking around all the pumpkins in the patch.

The next day, we had a party for Nicole with the Sanders', Hartmans, Crooks and Devan's parents. We had some great food, and although the weather was a little chilly, we still managed to have some outside time, too.

Nicole had fun playing with her smash cake!

It was a memorable and successful birthday! Happy birthday, sweet Nicole!

Beautiful Fall

We really had awesome weather with fall. We spend a lot of time outside, enjoying sunshine, parks, friends and hikes! Nicole really liked it, too!

Nicole would rather climb up the slide, than go the fun way down. I'm a little nervous as to what this means for our future!

We went on a trip to the zoo with our neighbors and Madelyn. Nicole was pretty darn cute on this outing :) I mean, right?

Again, I was horrible on taking pictures, but I threw a bridal shower for my friend, Marissa, and her baby boy! It was super fun to put together, and it was a great time to celebrate her baby! She threw a ward baby shower for me, so I was glad I could return the favor! She is always so thoughtful, I feel very blessed to have a friend like her!

We went on a family bike ride! We're loving this bike seat that we got for free on my Buy Nothing Bellevue site. It's awesome!

We went down to Roy for General Conference and to hang out with Devan's parents. It is so fun to watch them play and dote over Nicole. :)

And another hike. We both enjoyed this one!

OK, there were a couple of days where there was rain, but we managed to get a day in a WiggleWorks, which was awesome! Nicole had a blast and ran around to her hearts content. For her only being a 1 year old, I'd say we got our money's worth (considering she's a free entry under 13 months, haha!)

It has been such a fun Fall!
